Growing up, Tamer and Jawad didn't realise they had this in common — but both of our grandmothers swore by the same humble thing: a little white bar of goat milk soap. They rubbed it on scraped knees and dry winter skin, certain it was better than anything off a store shelf. And they were right.
As kids, you don't question your grandmother. As you grow up, you forget her. Somewhere between getting older and getting busy, that goat milk soap slipped out of our lives — swapped for whatever was cheapest in the aisle, full of harsh stuff we couldn't pronounce and that left our skin tight and stripped.
Years later, comparing notes, we realised we'd both quietly circled back to the same memory — and the same soap.
So we looked into why it always felt so different. Turns out our grandmothers knew all along: goat milk is naturally rich in gentle lactic acid, vitamins, and nourishing fats that moisturise and soften skin instead of stripping it — kinder for sensitive, dry, and easily-irritated skin than most of what we'd been using.
That's why we started Milk & Meadow: to bring that bar back. Made slowly, the way they made it, for the version of you your grandmother would still recognise.
